About Emerald Crossing!

Providing Hope to a Fearful Generation

In a world filled with worry and confusion, kids need to know there is a God who cares for them. At Emerald Crossing VBS, they’ll journey through Ireland’s lush landscapes, exploring the powerful words of Psalm 23. They’ll discover the life of the shepherd-king David and will learn how to cross from worry to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word through a relationship with the Good Shepherd.

Get your passport ready for Ireland and join the adventure!

Where is it at?

We're located in Tubac at 2204 W Frontage Rd, Tubac, AZ 85646 on the west side of the freeway across from the Tubac Village.

  • Top o’ the Morning! §

It’s early morning on the Emerald Isle. Gaze ahead as the sun rises on the cool, green pastures dotted with grazing sheep. Listen to the waves crash at the staggering Cliffs of Moher. Catch the earthy scent of sheep and cattle, fertile meadows, and dense forests. Feel the soft wool of a lamb or the rough, stony exterior of an age-old castle. Tune in as

lively folk music entertains and delights all who listen! From the lush meadows of its countryside to the cobblestone streets of its cities, there is something to delight the senses everywhere we turn in Ireland.  Every stop along our path will teach us about the Good Shepherd and how he cares for his sheep.

So pull on your work boots, grab your walking staff, and get ready for a grand ol’ time at Emerald Crossing!

  • Important Information for Parents §
  • Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time on Day 1, Monday, to pick up your VBS t-shirt, bandana, and name button. There may be a line at the registration/sign-in tables!
  • You MUST sign-in your child(ren) each day as you arrive. All names will be listed alphabetically by last name, and all members in a household under the same last name will be listed together for only one parent/guardian signature.
  • We ask that child(ren) stay home if they are not feeling well or exhibiting any of the following symptoms: fever, sore throat, cough, headache, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Should your child(ren) become ill during our VBS week, please alert the VBS Director, Karla Bregen, at 520-440-1068.
  • At the end of VBS each day, all children will be ready for pick-up in the sanctuary at noon. Parents should line-up outside on the north side of the sanctuary and enter through the door near the playground. The name(s) of the child(ren) for pick-up will be announced over the microphone, you will walk through the center of the sanctuary to pick-up your child(ren) and exit through the front doors of the church. As always, children will be released to an authorized adult only.
  • During VBS week, you will receive an email each afternoon/evening with daily reminders, pictures, announcements, and some trivia, jokes, or riddles that coincide with our Emerald Crossing VBS theme.
  • Our church considers it a great blessing to share God’s good news through VBS, and we will continue to strive to offer this program free of charge to our community. However, if you would like to make a donation to help offset some of the costs of VBS, we would greatly appreciate your gift of any amount. There is a donation box on the daily sign-in table.
  • Lastly, we have many volunteers to help make this program a great success and blessing to every child that comes through our church doors. Our volunteers understand how precious children are to the Lord and gladly serve each year at VBS. Thank YOU for sharing your precious child(ren) with us this week!
  • How Students Earn Store $ §
  • Students will earn $ each day to spend during the week at the VBS store, Shamrock Sweets & Stuff.

Philippians 4:6-8 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Lamentations 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
